Wrist Pain

When people think of chiropractic care they tend to think of treatment for the lower back, neck, or headaches. What they may not be aware of is that chiropractors treat the whole musculoskeletal system, and this includes the wrist.

There are many different causes of wrist pain, and they usual fall into one of two categories.

Sudden onset: Usually a trauma, like a fall that will result in a sprain or a fracture.

Slow onset: Repetitive strain type injuries, like poor position at the desk typing on a keyboard all day, or sport. These can cause all types of issues from carpal tunnel syndrome to tennis elbow.

How we help

At Cleveland Chiropractic we take a functional approach to care because there can be many factors involved in treating low back pain. First, we need to establish what is causing your pain and dysfunction. Orthopaedic, neurological, and functional movement examinations are performed to establish an accurate diagnosis.

Once we have an idea of what is going wrong, we will discuss and explain these findings with you. We want to create a treatment plan to get you moving well again ASAP and an environment where we can work together for the best possible outcome. Each treatment plan is tailored to the patient’s individual needs and will include not only your care at Cleveland chiropractic, but home rehabilitation exercises and lifestyle modifications needed to get you back on track.

Getting out of pain is great. But how do we keep it away? The final step is building a strong and healthy body, lowering your injury risk and building confidence within our patients to get back to moving well and achieving their goals.
